Leeds United weigh up goalkeeper options
LEEDS United manager Simon Grayson is weighing up whether to add goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan to his squad.
The 30-year-old Crystal Palace stopper was on loan at Elland Road for the closing month of last season, but did not get a game in the first team squad after arriving with an injury.
But Grayson has been keeping tabs on developments with the player and he could be added to the goalkeeping ranks alongside Casper Ankergren and Scotland under 21 international Alan Martin.
"He is on the radar as are a number of other players," said Grayson.
"We need competition for places all over the field and if I feel I need to bring in another keeper and have three then Darryl's ideal for me.
"Darryl is a good lad, he trained well and had an impact on what we did at the end of last season.
"But if we think Alan Martin is ready to push Casper Ankergren for the number one spot then we will stick with two goalkeepers and go with those two.
"I'm sure Alan thinks he is ready to step up."
Martin spent last season on loan at Barrow, but is likely to be given his chance this year following the departure of David Lucas.
