Ossett Town set to face familiar faces at Stocksbridge
LOWLY Ossett Town are set to come up against some familiar faces when Peter Daniels takes his men to Stocksbridge Park Steels tomorrow (kick-off 3pm).
Former Town boss Simon Collins will be keen to get one over on his former club and keep alive the Steels' slender promotion hopes.
Collins left Stade France in the summer and took the role at the Look Local Stadium earlier this season, taking with him a host of former players from the Ossett club.
Rob Tonks, Matt Daly, Dominic Riordon, Brandon Kane and Tom Claisse are all set to feature for Stocksbridge in the crunch UniBond Premier Division clash.
And Town will expect no 'old pals act' as they search for three crucial points to keep their survival hopes alive.
Town are now three points away from the Premier Division safety zone following Frickley's midweek victory over relegation rivals Worksop Town.
Ossett Albion also face an important weekend with a proverbial 'six pointer' against Garforth Town in Division 1 North (kick-off 3pm).
Eric Gilchrist's men sit five points above the drop zone and victory over Simon Clifford's Garforth would see Albion move level on points with Town.
It would also complete a league 'double' after Albion saw off Garforth 2-1 at the Warehouse Systems Stadium earlier in the season.
