Ossett Common Rovers put four past Bardsey
Bardsey Res 2 Ossett CR Res 4
OSSETT Common Rovers Reserves returned to winning ways in the West Yorkshire League Premier Alliance Division but without achieving their recent high standards.
Ossett started brightly enough and went one up in five minutes when Danny Cooper headed home.
Joe Ratcliffe drilled in the second minutes later.
Bardsey pegged one back but Rovers restored their two-goal cushion before half-time when Scott Smith was brought down in the box and Matt Redgwick converted from the spot.
Jamie Riley raced onto a through-ball early in the second half to make it 4-1.
But Bardsey continued to create chances and were eventually rewarded with a second goal.
The hosts would have scored more but for the excellent goalkeeping of man of the match Jamie Boocock.
