Ossett Town reappoint manager

OSSETT Town have acted quickly to reappoint Paul Lines as manager following Peter Daniel's departure from the club

Daniel left the Stade France club following Saturday's 3-1 defeat against Worksop Town.

It left Town seven points adrift of safety in the UniBond Premier Division and with a huge mountain to climb to avoid the drop to Division 1 North.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sunderland player took charge of just nine matches since his appointment at the end of November, guiding Town to just one victory.

Former boss Paul Lines has been reappointed to the role and will take charge of Town's huge clash at Frickley Athletic on Friday night (kick-off 7.45pm).

Lines stepped down as manager in November after enduring a difficult start to his career as Town boss.

But he'll be hoping for better fortunes over the next eleven games as he looks to guide Town to Premier Division safety.
