Raleigh returns to boost Wakefield Trinity Wildcats ahead of Hull KR clash

Andy Raleigh will give Wakefield Trinity Wildcats a boost by returning to their squad for Saturday’s Super League clash with Hull KR (kick-off 5.45pm).

The experienced prop missed the season opener at Bradford Bulls through a rib injury and his return will be timely after head coach Richard Agar blasted his forward pack following the Provident Stadium loss.

Tim Smith has also been included in Agar’s 19-man squad, as he was last week, but has been rated as “50/50” for the visit of Rovers due to an ankle injury.

Vince Mellars returns but Matty Wildie and Brad Singleton miss out.

“Andy Raleigh is back fit again and we’ll have a call on Tim Smith on our last field session,” said Agar.

“He’s probably rated 50/50 at this stage. He’s back running and doing some twisting and turning but we want to make sure he’s 100 per cent. He’s making good progress.

Reece Lyne has shaken off cramp suffered last week and is expected to continue at centre.

Former Wildcats back rower Dale Ferguson is set to feature for Rovers after signing on-loan from Huddersfield Giants.

Wildcats 19-man squad: Mathers, Fox, Collis, Cockayne, Sykes, Smith, Poore, Aiton, Raleigh, Lauitiiti, Kirmond, Washbrook, Wood, Amor, Wilkes, Mariano, Mellars, Lyne, Annakin.

Hull KR 19-man squad: Salter, Caro, Ferguson, Horne, Walker, Paterson, Mika, Tuimavave, Cox, Griffin, J Hodgson, Paea, Carlile, Hall, Dobson, D Hodgson, Eden, Latus, Withers.
