Sharlston Rovers looking to go one better in Yorkshire Cup final

SHARLSTON Rovers will be hoping to go one better than last year and lift the Yorkshire Cup when they come up against Hunslet Warriors in Sunday's Final.

Gordy Long takes his troops to Featherstone Rovers' Chris Moyles Stadium on Sunday (kick-off 2pm) a year after falling to defeat in the final of the competition to Leeds-based Queens.

It's not just silverware that's up for grabs for the Weeland Road

club, but also a place in the first round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup for the winner.

Rovers boast an unbeaten record in the Premier Division of the Pennine League going into the game and will have to continue at their best if they're to see-off the CMS Yorkshire League high-flyers.

Sunday's Utmost Insurance BARLA Yorkshire Cup kicks-off at 2pm at the Chris Moyles Stadium, admission is 5.
