Wakefield Wildcats await Terry Newton injury fate

WAKEFIELD Wildcats head coach John Kear has confirmed a suspected torn bicep injury suffered by Terry Newton at the weekend "doesn't look good."

The former Bradford Bulls forward suffered the injury shortly after making his debut from the interchange bench for the Wildcats in their 18-10 victory at Harlequins on Saturday.

Kear is anxiously awaiting results from Newton's scans, which are due today, in the hope that the injury isn't as bad as first feared.
