Wakefield Wildcats sign Cooke from Hull KR and name him in squad for Salford clash

WAKEFIELD Wildcats have signed Paul Cooke from Hull KR on a deal that lasts until the end of the 2010 season.

The 28-year-old stand-off finally completed the move after negotiations over a severance package between the two clubs were completed late last night, Thursday.

Wildcats boss John Kear has included Cooke in the 19-man squad that will face Salford City Reds at the Hearwell Stadium on Sunday.

And Cooke is delighted to have made the switch to Wakefield. He said: "I am excited and just want to get out there and do what I believe I do best and that's play the game."
