Wakefield Wildcats boss Agar to make one change for Hull KR game

HEAD coach Richard Agar is set to field a largely unchanged team for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats’ Stobart Super League VII home encounter with Hull KR on Sunday.

Kyle Amor is the only player to miss the Wildcats’ first home game of the season having broken his hand during last week’s 32-14 win at Widnes Vikings.

It was feared that Amor would be out for up to eight weeks but having undergone surgery, the prop forward is now expected to return in “five or six weeks” according to Agar.

Frankie Mariano and Kyle Trout have recovered from injuries and one is set to make their first appearance of the season as a replacement for Amor in the squad.

Agar said: “We will be running with a similar 19. Frankie Mariano will come straight in for Amor and it will probably be between Frankie and Kyle Trout for a spot on the bench.”

Wildcats’ probable 19-man squad: Mathers, Fox, Collis, Mellars, Cockayne, John, Smith, Johnson, Aiton, Southern, Lauitiiti, Kirmond, Washbrook, Wood, Wilkes, Raleigh, Trout, Mariano, Ellis.
