Wildcats hit by injuries to Obst, Ferres and Blaymire
MATT Blaymire, Brett Ferres and Sam Obst are all out of the Wakefield Wildcats' squad that will travel to Wigan Warriors on Friday.
Wildcats' head coach John Kear said: "Matt Blaymire and Brett Ferres have been carrying shoulder injuries and Sam Obst has been suffering with a hernia for 10 weeks or so.
"Sam needs surgery and he will miss the rest of the season. The loss of all three is a blow and Sam has been a real cornerstone in the side."
However, winger Matt Petersen has made a surprise return to fitness and Adam Watene should be back in action next week.
Kear added: "I'm not bothered about the result at Wigan. I want us to play well and look like we are having a real dig at them.
"If we play well then we will get a good result but we need to play with a bit of desire and enjoy it."
