Wildcats' head coach Kear still confident over double swoop
WAKEFIELD Wildcats' head coach John Kear is still confident of adding two players to his squad for 2009 despite deals for the un-named duo taking longer than expected.
Kear told Express Sport last week that he expected the deals for the pair, which he was adament would be the only two additions for next season, to be completed this week.
But despite the signings taking longer than expected to complete, Kear is still confident that the pair will both have put pen-to-paper next week.
"They haven't quite gone through yet but we're further along the line," he said.
"I'm pretty confident that something will be done by the middle of next week, and they'll be the only signings we make because of our budget."
Former Wildcats' Steve Snitch and Michael Korkidas have been the names linked with a return to Belle Vue, although Korkidas, released from his contract at Castleford Tigers, has also been linked with a move to Huddersfield Giants.
