WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats revealed their new home and away shirts at a special event at the club shop in Wakefield last night, Thursday.
Meanwhile, head coach Richard Agar has enlisted the help of an experienced sports scientist as he looks to get his squad in tip-top shape before the start of the Super League XVII season.
Dave Joyce is a performance specialist with experience of working with Galatasaray and Blackburn Rovers football clubs, Saracens RUFC and the Team GB squad that took part in the Beijing Olympic Games.
And having worked with Agar at Hull FC, the duo have been reunited at Wakefield where the Wildcats boss is pleased with the progression of his players.
Agar said: “Dave has made some useful recommendations that will help with everything from medical processes to the players’ conditioning.
“It is a relationship that will continue throughout the season and Dave will be a very useful contact for the staff at the club.”
Agar added: “Training is moving along nicely and both Tim Smith and Dean Collis are now with us so it is great to have them here.
“Injured players are starting to return and Peter Fox and Danny Kirmond will be training this week.
“The squad is shaping-up nicely, we have got several highly-skilled players and some strength in depth but I am still hopeful that we can sign a couple of players before Christmas.”
