FORMER Wakefield Wildcats fans’ favourite Willie Poching has pledged his future to Warrington Wolves until November 2012.

The Wolves’ first-team coach has penned a new deal alongside Richard Marshall, something that has delighted head coach Tony Smith.

Poching said: “I’m very happy and comfortable here. “I love working with the coaches and players at the club, I enjoy being part of Wolves and that was a big reason why I decided to re-sign for another year.”

The former New Zealand and Samoa international pulled on the red, white and blue of Wakefield between 1999-2001 and was a big hit with Wakefield fans.

His name was also mentioned with the vacant head coach’s role at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium following the departure of John Kear before Richard Agar took charge.
