WITH Wakefield Trinity Wildcats preparing for tomorrow’s Carnegie Challenge Cup fourth round tie at Co-operative Championship One side Doncaster, full-back Kieran Hyde has revealed that his team are not taking their opposition lightly.
The 21 year-old, who bagged a dramatic late penalty to steer Wakefield to victory over Hull KR in Super League last week, is looking forward to making his Challenge Cup debut but admits that the Wildcats will need to be fully prepared if they are to win at the Keepmoat Stadium.
He said: “We have prepared like we are facing a Super League team and have made sure that we have maintained hard work and focus.
“The lads know that we need to perform. We will give Doncaster the same respect we would give any other team and we are not taking them lightly.”
Hyde believes that a good cup run this season is important for Trinity, saying: “The goal is to make it to final and all the players want to do well in the competition.”
