MANY people will have already written-off Wakefield Trinity Wildcats’ chances of success next season but head coach John Kear believes that his team are capable of springing a few surprises.
With the Super League XVI season only two weeks away, Kear has been encouraged by the Wildcats’ pre-season form and seen signs of promise.
He said: “We have improved in many areas in each of our three trial games.
“There are other areas that need further improvement but the signs are that we will be an entertaining team who will pose a few problems.
“Financial constraints have affected recruitment but the lads’ application and effort has been A*”
He added: “Our aim is to provide a surprise package and exceed expectations.”
