LEEDS Rhinos chalked-up their highest score of the Super League season so far as they defeated Wakefield Trinity Wildcats 64-20 at Headingley.
Ryan Hall, Ben Jones-Bishop and Carl Ablett crossed the try-line for the hosts before Ryan Tongia opened Wakefield’s account with an unconverted score midway through the first half.
Danny McGuire responded for Leeds and Hall bagged his second score to give Leeds a 28-4 half-time lead.
Ali Lauititi, who will play at Wakefield next season, extended the hosts’ advantage only for the Wildcats to hit back with scores from Josh Veivers and Motu Tony that made it 34-14.
However, a flourish from Leeds resulted in touch-downs from Danny Buderus, Hall, Jamie Peacock and Lee Smith before Kyle Amor scored a consolation for Trinity.
