WAKEFIELD Wildcats centre Vince Mellars has failed to make the final Exiles squad to face England on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old New Zealander had been a shock inclusion in Daniel Anderson’s 25-man squad last week.

But he won’t be pulling on the Exiles shirt at the Galpharm Stadium in the second International Origin match after Anderson trimmed his squad to 21 today.

There will still be Wildcats involvement with Glenn Morrison forming part of the Exiles coaching staff, while former Wakefield player Daryl Millard is included in the squad.

England head coach Steve McNamara, who put his men through their paces at Wakefield’s Rapid Solicitors Stadium this morning, has named his team for Wednesday’s clash with former Wakefield player Danny Brough getting the nod to start. Another former Wildcat in Ryan Atkins, now at Warrington Wolves, will also play.
