TEAMS of rugby league enthusiasts will row a marathon next Thursday to help raise money for The RFL Benevolent Fund.

The Rugby League Rowing Challenge will take place The Zone in Huddersfield and a number of teams have entered to row over 26 miles on a Concept2 indoor rower in aid of the charity.

Rugby league commentator Dave Woods, one of the organisers of the event, said: “Last year’s event was fantastic.

“Everyone who took part had a great time and we managed to raise £12,000 for the Benevolent Fund. This year we aim to make it even better.”

Wakefield Wildcats fans have been big supporters of the charity and anyone wanting to donate to this year’s rowing event can do so by visiting www.rflbenevolentfund.co.uk.
