SANDAL RUFC first team lost out to Lymm for the second time this season as the visitors bounced back from 8-0 down to take the points in National League 3 North.
Jim Kilfoyle’s men got off to a great start when Greg Wood bagged a try and a penalty to propel the hosts to an 8-0 lead with only 11 minutes gone.
But the Cheshire side refused to lie down and Emmitt crossed and converted to cut the deficit to a single point three minutes later.
Lymm edged ahead six minutes before the break through Oakes’ score and Emmitt added a penalty on the stroke of half-time to make it 15-8.
Emmitt struck again with another penalty early in the second period and Lymm wrapped up the game when Jake Ashall ended a flowing move to touch-down.
Wood crossed for his second try of the day five minutes from time but it was little more than a consolation for Sandal.
