A CRUSHING 46-6 loss at home to St Helens on Sunday consigned Wakefield Trinity Wildcats to their fourth straight Super League XVI defeat.

Saints produced a clinical first-half display in which a brace apiece for Kyle Eastmond and Jamie Foster, tries from Jon Wilkin and Jonny Lomax and five Foster goals, propelled them to a 34-0 half-time lead.

Wakefield improved on the resumption but Francis Meli and Chris Flannery added to the visitors’ tally with converted scores before Aaron Murphy crossed for a consolation, improved by Kieran Hyde.
