WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats boss Richard Agar has revealed that he is “in advanced talks” with prop Paul Johnson over a new contract.
The news will be welcomed by fans of the 24 year-old who won the club’s players’ player and coaches’ player of the year awards at the end of last season.
Agar also added that “lines of communication” would be open to hooker Paul Aiton should he wish to extend his contract when his current deal expires at the end of the 2013 campaign.
Agar said the 26-year-old Papua New Guinea skipper was often “our best go-forward player”.
