WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats on-loan player Craig Harvey has announced his decision to leave rugby league with immediate effect.

The 22 year-old secured a loan move to Wakefield from Warrington Wolves only a fortnight ago but a statement released today, Monday, said: “Warrington Wolves can announce that Craig Harvey has made the decision not to pursue a professional rugby league career, leaving the game with immediate effect.

“Craig will return to a career within the oil industry which he put on hold when he was promoted to the first team squad at Warrington.

“He obtained a one-year sabbatical from his employers and has now decided to return to the business in the interest of his long-term future.”
