WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats prop forward Oliver Wilkes is facing six to eight weeks on the sidelines after snapping ligaments in his thumb.
Wilkes sustained the injury in the 26-22 Stobart Super League XVII win over Salford City Reds last Saturday and Cats boss Richard Agar confirmed that the forward is facing a prolonged spell out of contention.
Agar said: “Oli required immediate attention on snapped ligaments and will be out for six to eight weeks.
“It is really disappointing because his hard work was paying off and he was excellent against Salford.”
