AUSTRALIAN centre Dean Collis has been revealed as Richard Agar’s first signing since taking over as Wakefield Trinity Wildcats head coach.
The 25 year-old has signed a three-year contract at Wakefield following two years at NRL side Cronulla Sharks.
Collis previously spent six years at Wests Tigers and earned himself representative honours in 2007 when he was picked for the City Origin team.
Wildcats chief executive James Elston said: “We are delighted with Richard’s capture of Dean for the next three years.
“He has been a regular feature in the NRL over the past eight years and this experience will provide a great boost to our side.
“Dean’s enthusiasm and determination to succeed in Super League is very clear and we can’t wait to see him in action out on the field for Wakefield.”
Collis said: “I’m really happy to have signed at Wakefield and be playing in Super League. I’m excited for the new challenge and I just can’t wait to get over there now.
“I’m looking forward to being a part of something new at the club and I hope I can prove myself to the club and its spectators.”
