WAKEFIELD Trinity Wildcats captain Glenn Morrison is keeping his team-mates focused on the job in hand as the kick-off to the Super League XVI season approaches.

Morrison was among the players attending the official season launch event at Old Trafford, Manchester, yesterday and while the future of his club remains uncertain, the Wakefield skipper has only one thing on his mind - the Magic Weekend clash with Castleford Tigers on Saturday.

He said: “All our focus is on training hard and playing well. We have some great, enthusiastic young players that are raring to go and everyone is looking forward to this weekend’s game.

“Staff at the Wildcats will work hard to look after the club. Our job is to get out there and play some good footie.

“I know there is heavy concentration on off-field news but I speak on behalf of the whole team when I say that our only focus is on Saturday’s fixture. We can’t wait.”
