WAKEFIELD Wildcats prop Liam Higgins has been banned for one game and fined £300 by the Rugby Football League for a high tackle on Crusaders forward Jordan James.

An RFL disciplinary panel slapped the punishment on the former Castleford Tigers man last night and he’ll now miss Wakefield’s next Super League game at Warrington Wolves on Sunday, August 14.

Wolves will also be without a key player in Micky Higham for the fixture after he was found guilty of a dangerous tackle on Bradford’s Paul Sykes and given a two-game ban and £300 fine.
