FORMER Wakefield Trinity Wildcats forward Oliver Wilkes has returned to the club for a second spell having signed a two-year contract at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
The 31-year-old Scotland international prop played for Wakefield for two seasons before a two-year stint at Harlequins and he is delighted to be playing in the red, white and blue once again.
He said: “I’m chuffed to be coming back to Wakefield. I really enjoyed my time here and I have many fond memories throughout the two years that I was here.
“I’d like to thank Harlequins for a great two years and I wish them all the best for the future. I’m really looking forward to my new career at Wakefield, I think the club are going in the right direction and I’m really happy to be a part of their new era going forward.”
Wildcats chief executive James Elston added: “Oli is a fantastic signing for us, he was a very popular player with our fans when he was here two years ago and he is an incredibly talented forward to have on your team.”
“I’m delighted that we have captured Oli’s signature and I am certain he will impress in Wakefield colours once again.”
