St Helens prop forward Jordan Hand has signed a one month’s loan deal at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

A deal for the 21-year-old comes hot on the heels of Salford Red Devils forward George Griffin’s loan move to the Wildcats, who are struggling with injuries to their squad.

Saints chief executive Mike Rush said: “Both Matty and Jordan need to be playing regularly.

“We will monitor their progress and of course wish them luck for the next month.”

Hand was due to be on loan with Whitehaven this season but with a change of coach at that club, and their dual-registration commitments, Saints have explored other options.
