SANDAL RUFC first team will look to put the disappointment of last week’s 19-16 defeat to Birkenhead Park behind them when they travel to Altrincham Kersal today, Saturday.

The Cheshire side lie second from bottom of National League 3 North having won only two matches so far but Sandal head coach Jim Kilfoyle’s injury list continues to mount.

Centre Dan McCormack, full-back Tom Coad, second-row James Riley and flanker Sean Maguire are all facing late fitness tests while centre Andy Hall awaits clearance from work commitments.

Sandal 1st XV squad v Altrincham Kersal (away, kick-off 2.15pm): T Coad, A Orr, T Hodson, D McCormack, A Hall, D Martin, J Mulhern, G Wood, G Newman, A Norbury, J Heron, R Norbury, L Norbury, T Proctor, A Thompson, J Riley, S Maguire, J Stewart, T Hirst, J Ferguson. The players coach leaves at 11.30am with supporters welcome.

Sandal Cougars host Hull 2nds in the Yorkshire Premier League and Sandal Vets play Cleckheaton 4ths. Both games kick-off at 2.15pm.
