SHARLSTON Rovers have been rewarded for their Carnegie Challenge Cup progress with a trip to face Paul Cooke and his Doncaster side in the third round.
The draw took place in Whitehaven tonight and Pennine League Rovers will get the chance to play at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium in the next round of the prestigious competition.
The clash will be one to look forward to for Gordy Long and his troops, who secured their progress thanks to a last-gasp 20-19 victory over Wigan St Cuthberts in round two at Weeland Road on Saturday.
Doncaster sit top of the Co-operative Championship 1 table after their opening-day 48-16 win over Whitehaven at the weekend. Former Hull KR, Hull FC and Wakefield Wildcats man Cooke played a key role, scoring two tries and kicking eight goals.
Another former Wildcat in Kyle Bibb is also in Doncaster's squad while Keiran Hyde penned a dual registration deal with the club from Wakefield for the rest of the season - making it a tough task for Pennine League Rovers.
The game will take place on the weekend of Sunday, March 25 with full details to follow.
