SKIPPER Danny Kirmond is set to make a surprise return for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats’ Stobart Super League XVII clash at Bradford Bulls on Sunday.
The second rower looked to be set for a several weeks on the sidelines after tests showed that he had fractured a cheekbone and eye socket during the victory over London Broncos on June 3.
However, Kirmond is back in contention and “will be back in” the starting line-up according to Trinity boss Richard Agar.
The only fitness concern lies with Lucas Walshaw who was suffering with sickness on Thursday. Agar said: “We will have to see how [Walshaw] comes out of that.”
Agar revealed that he is also considering Frankie Mariano and Isaac John for a place in the Cats’ squad.
