Ali Lauitiiti and Justin Poore have returned to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats’ 19-man squad for Friday night’s huge game against Leeds Rhinos at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium (kick-off 8pm).
The powerful pair missed Wakefield’s 52-18 defeat at St Helens last Friday and their return will boost Wildcats’ go-forward for the visit of the Super League champions.
Poore returns in time to renew his rivaly with Ryan Bailey. Wakefield’s big close season signing was sent off 20 minutes into his debut during the Boxing Day trial match with Leeds for punching the prop forward.
For former Leeds favourite Lauitiiti it could be the first time the second row goes up against his old club in the red, white and blue on home soil after missing last season’s contest.
The match has come too soon for captain Danny Kirmond (knee), Andy Raleigh (knee) and Tim Smith (calf), however, leaving head coach Richard Agar without three key players for the clash with Brian McDermott’s side.
Youngsters Danny Cowling and Bobbie Goulding drop out of the squad and are instead expected to play for Doncaster on dual registration this weekend.
