Agar uses week off to revitalise Wakefield Wildcats

WITH over a week to go before the next Stobart Super League XVII game, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats boss Richard Agar is taking the opportunity to freshen-up his players.

Wakefield were due to face Leeds this weekend but with the Rhinos taking-on Manly Sea Eagles in the Heinz Big Soup World Club Challenge at Headingley tonight, Friday, Agar has been able to give his troops time to recover before the Round 4 clash with Bradford Bulls on February 25.

Following the defeat to Hull KR last Sunday, Agar has given his players some time off but he will be ramping-up training over the weekend.

He said: “There are a few tight calves and some soreness but the week off has enabled me to rest a few players and get refreshed in time for Bradford.

“We will be building-up the work over this weekend and I will not be easing up on the players.”

He added :”I think it is important that we try to make use of the week off because there are still plenty of improvements for us.

“We won’t take our foot off the pedal at all. We will continue to keep what we are doing and try to get better on the things we have been working hard on.”
