Wakefield Wildcats' Jeffries misses out on Bradford Bulls reunion
WAKEFIELD Wildcats stand-off Ben Jeffries will miss tomorrow's Super League clash with former club Bradford Bulls through injury.
The 29-year-old was included in John Kear's initial 19-man squad for the match but picked up a quad injury in training on Thursday morning.
It means Jeffries will miss out on facing his former team-mates for the first time since leaving the Bulls for a return to Wakefield in the close season.
"We've had Ben Jeffries pull out this morning in training," said Kear.
"He was practicing his goal kicking and he's just tweaked his quad so he won't be available.
He continued: "We signed three players from Bradford over the close season and two are injured and one's obviously left the game so none of them will be facing their old club which is a shame.
"Both Glenn Morrison and Ben Jeffries had highlighted this as a game that they were really looking forward to but unfortunately for both of them neither will be featuring."
Jeffries absence paves the way for a return for Paul Cooke, who returns to the squad after recovering from a hamstring tear.
