WESTGATE Wolves prop Zach Johnson has been called-up to a provisional BARLA Great Britain squad to tour Australia next year.
The 28-man squad was announced on Wednesday by the BARLA coaching team of Paul Crarey and Tony Spence and the players will start preparations for next September’s tour with a training session on Saturday, December 29 at Featherstone Lions ARLFC.
Wolves star Johnson has made the provisional squad but he will have to stay at the top of his game with the BARLA coaches able to make changes before the tour, which includes a trip to the NRL Grand Final, takes place.
The team opens its campaign with a clash against Championship side Barrow Raiders on Sunday, January 13.
