WAKEFIELD Wildcats’ crucial final game of the Super League season at Salford City Reds has been moved for live Sky television coverage.

The match was scheduled to be played this Friday (kick-off 8pm) but has now been moved to Saturday with a 6.15pm kick-off.

There will also be a new venue with the City of Salford Community Stadium unavailable owing to Sale Sharks playing at home in a televised fixture against Saracens on the same day. It’s understood Leigh Sports Village is the front-runner to stage the match instead.

Wakefield’s game will be one of three televised live on Sky Sports this weekend.

Wigan Warriors will host St Helens on Friday but the focus on Saturday is the race for the final play-off spot between Wildcats and Bradford Bulls.

Bulls make the tough trip to Catalans Dragons and that game will be on the Sky Sports 1 Red Button at 2.55pm, while Wakefield will kick-off their match at 6.15pm.
