JAMES Davey is set to complete a move from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats to Keighley Cougars on a dual registration deal.

The 22-year-old hooker has found his chances limited in Super League but will get more first team action with the Cougars at Co-operative Championship level.

Cougars head coach Jason Demetriou will know Davey well from his time at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium and the talented youngster will act as a replacement for the injured Jermaine Wray.

Davey made his Super League debut in 2009 at Hull KR and made a handful of appearances in the red, white and blue over the last two years.

But he hasn’t been named in any Wakefield squads so far this season, something which has prompted a move to Cougar Park.

Davey could make his debut for Keighley in Sunday’s game against Hunslet.
