Time to choose your finalists

THERE'S just over a week left for voters to get their favourite Look of 2008 contestants into the final line-up.
We now have 21 female contestants, after a tied vote in the previous round, each hoping to make it through to the final 10.
In last week's paper we included 'before and after' photographs of each of the contestants who received a makeover - courtesy of event organisers and sponsors Philips Hair Salons.
Talented hair stylists teamed up with make-up artist Donna Wood, of Unique Beauty Salon on Dewsbury Road to create the contestants' new looks. This year Donna is celebrating a special Look Of anniversary as it is the 10th year she and her team will have worked on the competition, now in its 12th year.
As well as making the most of their skills on the makeover day, the make-up artists also make over the finalists on the big night.
Donna said: " I really enjoy doing it, it's rewarding and a challenge. It goes so quickly you haven't got time to think, but I do like a challenge!"
Philip Dickinson, of Philips Hair Salons, praised Donna and her staff for continuing to volunteer their time and skills free of charge.
He said: "Donna and her staff work very hard. They have supported us all of these 10 years and she does a fantastic and professional job."
But it's not just the girls in with a chance of winning a title this year. The 10 guys voted through to the next phase of the male competition are also waiting to be shortlisted. All you need to do now is to vote for the six you would like to make it through to the final.
This round of voting for both categories closes at 10am on Monday, September 8, and the final will be on the evening of September 16 at Mustang Sallys.
Once again you can vote not only using the coupons printed in the paper, (remember that no photocopies will be accepted, but multiple forms can be sent in one envelope) but also via text message.
The more votes you get the more likely your chance of progressing to the next phase. You will also be able to keep up-to-date with the competition on our website.
To cast your vote by SMS, text the keyword LOOKOF followed by a space and then the competition number of the person to 81800. Each text is charged at £1 plus your standard network rate. By supplying your telephone number you're happy to receive SMS/MMS messages from Johnston Press plc, publishers of the Express. Johnston Press (or via its agents) and its business partners may contact you about new promotions, products and services. Add the word STOP at the end of your message if you do not wish to receive these. For quality and training purposes we may monitor communications. SMS services are provided by g8wave Ltd, London N7. Votes cast after the closing time and date will not be counted but may still be charged.
