OSSETT Town eased by basement dwellers Durham City to bag a crucial first win under boss Peter Daniel at Stade France on Saturday.
Goals from Paul Sykes, Pat McGuire and Lee Mohammed gave Town a first UniBond Premier League victory for four months against a Durham side who've lost every league match so far this term.

It was a must-win game for Daniel and Town, and the three points lift them closer to safety in the UniBond Premier Division ahead of another crunch game agaist Matlock Town on Tuesday (kick-off 7.45pm).

Neighbours Ossett Albion remain in the thick of relegation trouble in Division 1 North after losing 2-1 at Warrington Town at the weekend.

Shane Kelsey's 84th minute penalty wasn't enough to salvage anything from the game for Eric Gilchrist's men.

The defeat leaves Albion just two points above the relegation spots.

And they'll need improved fortunes from their vital trip to Salford City on Tuesday night.

Captain Wes Milnes rescued a point for Wakefield FC against promotion-chasing FC Halifax Town at College Grove.

Milnes netted in the 88th minute for the Bears, after James Dean had given the Shaymen a 63rd minute lead.

It was the second time this season that Wakefield have held Halifax, with Ronnie Glavin's men being the only Division 1 North side to take a point away from the Shay so far this season.
