WAKEFIELD FC's hopes of an FA Cup 'giant killing' were put to bed as Blue Square North side Fleetwood Town made light work of the Bears in the 2nd Qualifying Round.
Ronnie Glavin's men made a bright start and more than matched their higher division opponents for 20 minutes before Adam Warlow produced a clinical finish to give Mickey Mellon's men the lead.

Despite Fleetwood's domination, Wakefield were still in the tie until the 71st minute when captain Jamie Milligan fired home from close range.

And Fleetwood secured their progression to the next round when Colin Potts was well-placed to head home the third after Wakefield stopper Andy Woods did well to save Andrew Bell's powerful effort.

Wakefield: Woods, Henson, Turner, Jones, Milnes, Leight, Roberts, Sobers, Westcarr, Howarth, Ferguson. Subs: Barrick, Jowsey, Marchant, Wright, Wears, Morris, Hitchings.

Fleetwood: Hale, Walmsley, Hills, Kilbane, Doughty, Beattie, Potts, Milligan, Warlow, Bell, Leadbetter. Subs: Mercer, Beeley, Dunn, Foster, Peers, Denney, Robinson.
