THE Origin Series inter-county clash between Yorkshire and Lancashire should be resurrected.
That's the view of Wakefield Wildcats' centre Ryan Atkins after his recent run-out with England.
Atkins, 23, missed out on the chance to represent his county in the series, which ended in 1989, before it was briefly contested again between 2001 and 2003.
But the Wildcats' centre thinks that the series would provide an opportunity for Super League stars to play in the big matches and increase competition for international selection.
