Master of illusion returns

master of psychological illusion Derren Brown comes to Leeds Grand Theatre in February with his hit show Svengali.

Derren will be in Leeds from February 20 to 25, as he once again sets out to show why he is one of the world’s most renowned live performers – a master of magic, mind control and manipulation.

He said: “I enjoy the TV, but there’s nothing like doing a live show every night, constantly finding ways of improving it, and of course having the immediate feedback of an audience.

“Plus, without it, it would be easy for people to think it’s the kind of stuff that only works on TV. I’d actually go as far to say it’s better to see on stage.”

Derren has been wowing audiences on TV and stage for more than ten years, with a series of daring and controversial shows, including playing Russian roulette and The Heist, where a group were manipulated into robbing a security van.

He has also written books on magic and mentalism and is also an artist, creating caricature portraits of celebrities.

Tickets for Svengali are on sale now, priced at £32.50, available from www.leedsgrandtheatre.com or the box office on 0844 848 2700.
