Miles Kane heading for Leeds 02 Academy

IT’S been quite a 12 months for Miles Kane.

The intrepid rock ‘n’ roller has gone from tentatively starting out as a solo performer to winning over bigger and bigger crowds at major UK and international festivals, to touring the UK and Europe with Beady Eye and supporting Arctic Monkeys at their momentous hometown Don Valley Bowl shows.

This immense rise led to Miles being invited as special guest to the mighty Kasabian on their most recent UK arena tour, but as a headline act himself he was no stranger to the live circuit in 2011.

Having sold out two UK tours, performing tracks from his critically acclaimed debut Colour of the Trap, the sometime Last Shadow Puppet and former leader of The Rascals has proved a real favourite in the live arena with some high octane shows and great guitar tunes.

Now he is set to cement his reputation as one of the country’s most exciting and energetic acts with an eight-date tour in April, culminating in headlining one of the capital’s best loved venues, the HMV Forum.

Along the way Kane can be seen at the O2 Academy, in Leeds, on Wednesday, April 25.

Tickets for the show are available now from www.ticketweb.co.uk or Jumbo and Crash Records.

If the meteoric rise of 2011 is anything to go by, 2012 will be even bigger for Miles, with a brand new single due in the spring.
