The internationally-renowned poet appeared at Wakefield Lit Fest, which is organised by Beam, last year.

Beam Director Robert Powell said: “We are terrifically excited to welcome Carol Ann back to Wakefield.

“She really enjoyed her reading here last autumn and when I found out about her English cathedrals project we facilitated the connection with the Dean and Bishop here.

“When Carol Ann offered to read in support of the Lit Fest as part of her visit to the cathedral, we grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
