Stephen’s comedy agenda

THE maestro of feelgood comedy and star of television and radio Stephen K Amos returns to Theatre Royal Wakefield in October with his new stand-up show.

Laughter is My Agenda was a sell-out at the Edinburgh Festival, and now Stephen is bringing it on the road, stopping off in Wakefield on Wednesday October 3 at 8pm.

Stephen K Amos has charmed and entertained audiences across the world with his natural, assured delivery and his honest, original material.

Stephen is filled with an almost child-like joy and exuberance, and can find the funny in some of the most unexpected places.

Aside from being one of the nation’s favourite faces on television, Stephen is a prolific writer and performer releasing a new hour-long show every year and touring all over the world at festivals. He has performed in some of the UKs most loved theatres and also appeared at the Royal Variety Show in 2007.

A gifted actor, Stephen has impressed audiences with his performances on stage and screen, and has proved to have not only a talent for comedy, but also for more serious roles.

He has appeared as a guest on panel shows such as Have I Got News For You, Mock The Week, The Wright Stuff and And Then You Die. In March 2007, his documentary on homophobia in the black British community and Jamaica, Batty Man, was broadcast by Channel 4, winning a Royal Television Society Award and was nominated for a BAFTA.

He made a guest appearance as Jimi Hendrix on the third episode of the BBC Three show, Snuff Box, and has also appeared in Rich Hall’s Cattle Drive, EastEnders, Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle and as a featured performer, as well as host and compere on BBC One’s Live at the Apollo.
