Summer of theatre

The 2011 summer season will launch in September with a production of Les Miserables by Wakefield Youth Music Theatre.

Live music performances on the line-up include shows from The Midnite Johnny Band and The Magic of Take That, and The Lady Boys of Bangkok will make their debut appearance at the theatre on April 26 with their Fur Coats and French Knickers 2011 Tour.

Hull Truck Theatre Company will appear on May 3 and 4 with Lady Chatterley’s Lover and from May 29 the annual Wakefield Drama Festival will return with seven plays in seven days including One Fiona Two, Blood Brothers, The Bronte Boy, and others.

Moves: A Festival Of Dance is on from June 21 and comedian Billy Pearce will perform on June 10 in aid of Wakefield Hospice.
