Super Troupin’ tributes

enjoy the music of the 70s when Thank You For The Music brings its Abba and Bee Gees tribute acts to Theatre Royal Wakefield in September.

Now in its 19th year, Thank You For The Music has been entertaining the nation for longer than Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha and Frida did in the 70s and 80s.

Featuring all Abba’s greatest hits, including Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Mamma Mia, Super Trouper and many more, Thank You For The Music continues the legacy of one of pop’s most enduringly-popular bands.

For 2012 Thank You For The Music has a brand-new look, with a new Abba line-up, brand new choreography, sparkling new costumes and a completely revampted score packing in even more Abba hits.

As well as its Abba tribute, the show also features Bee Gees Magic. The trio, backed by a live band, perform original Bee Gees hits, like Stayin’ Alive, Massachusetts, Night Fever and How Deep Is Your Love, as well as million-sellers the Gibb brothers penned for other artists, including Islands in the Stream, Heartbreaker and Chain Reaction.

Thank You For The Music hits Theatre Royal Wakefield on September 22 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £15-£21, available from www.theatreroyalwakefield.co.uk or the box office on 01924 211311.
