Allo Allo Vicki is panto baddie
Castleford Civic Centre, December 20-31 (exc 25/26)
Brilliant news for Castleford ... oh yes it is ... a professional pantomime will play in the town for the first time in years. And Allo Allo, who’s going to be the star? None other than Vicki Michelle who fans will remember from the smash hit sitcom. Vicki, who achieved huge fame as French waitress Yvette starring alongside Gordon Kaye, plays the ultimate panto villain Carabosse in the production. Amongst many roles, she has starred alongside Ray Winstone in All In The Game, as well as appearing in the popular soaps Emmerdale and Doctors. She’s also no stranger to Reality TV either, having appeared on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, been seen as a regular panelist on Big Brother’s Bit On The Side, taken part in Celebrity Masterchef, and most recently, Costa Del Celebrity on Channel 5. Renowned for her charity work, Vicki was awarded an MBE by The Queen in 2010. The cast also includes local actress Georgia Gregory as Princess Rose, and experienced panto performer Spencer K. Gibbins as King René.
Castleford audiences will join Princess Rose, who after being placed under a terrible curse by the
dastardly fairy Carabosse for not receiving an invitation to the christening, pricks her finger on an enchanted spinning wheel and is forced to sleep for one hundred years. Zombrana Entertainment’s MD Lorenzo Zambrana said: “I’m thrilled to bring Vicki to Castleford for the first professional pantomime in many years, and with further casting to soon be
announced, audiences are in for a fantastic festive treat perfect for all the family.”
With a mix of well known singalong tunes, cheeky comedy, stunning dance routines, dazzling
costumes and laugh out loud jokes, this is a great show for everyone.
