Comedian Jason Manford is nervous number cruncher Leopold Bloom, who throws in his nine-to-five to stage the world’s worst musical with washed up Broadway producer Max Bialystock (Cory English).

In the mix is his fellow stand-up Ross Noble, as the demented, pigeon fancying Nazi who writes a theatrical tribute to Hitler the pair hope will flop so badly it will make them their fortune.

The three leads, along with David Bedella as deliciously OTT director Roger De Bris, are superb but it’s Manford who’s the revelation.

To say he has the voice to match his dry wit is an understatement - Jason Manford the comic is most definitely destined to become Jason Manford the West End star.
