Irish show has rhythm

centuries of colourful heritage, rich costumes, mesmerising footwork comes to St George’s Hall in Bradford.

Rhythm of the Dance hits Yorkshire on Wednesday October 19, marking the start of the National Dance Company of Ireland’s tenth anniversary celebrations.

In the last decade Rhythm of the Dance has played to more than 4.5 million people in 44 countries, with a recent five-week residency at Dollywood, Dolly Parton’s theme park.

The two-hour Irish dance extravaganza tells a 1,000-year-old story, conveyed magically by 22 dancers, a live band and three Irish tenors.

Fabulous costumes, seamless choreography and a wealth of Irish talent makes this show an inspiring epic, marrying traditional dance and music with state-of-the-art stage technology.
